A. A. Spurgeon and wife were Globe visitors in the city over Sunday, leaving Monday morning for their home. They motored in their new Studebaker.
Mr. Spurgeon was formerly Immigration inspector here, being succeeded about two years and one-half ago by Jesse W. Thames. His transfer to Globe was in the nature of a promotion, as the office in that city is a larger one with more members on the force under his direction. The visitors have many friends here who were glad to see them again.
Globe and Miami are very prosperous just now, Inspector Spurgeon states, owing to the building of the Inspiration leaching plant and other construction work.
