TRULY SINGULAR.—What will the medical faculty think of the following, which was related to us yesterday, as an undoubted fact, by one of the oldest and most respectable citizens of the State. During the prevalence of the cholera this season, a member of a family not far from his locality. was suddenly taken down with the most violent symptoms of incipient Asiatic cholera. The collapsed stage of the disease soon succeeded, and in a few hours the victim was a corpse.

In a day or two after another member of the family was taken, and shared the same fate; and thus the fell destroyer proceeded until six members of the same family were consigned to the bosom of this mother earth. What is remarkable about the above, is, that three of these victims died while staying at a great distance in the country, whence they had gone for security; a straw bed, on which one of them had died, was taken out and emptied of its contents; a number of hogs belonging to the farm bedded themselves in the straw, and strange to say, every one died. They numbered, in all, seven. We do not recollect an instance of malignancy in disease more striking or terrible than this.—Miner's (Dubuque) Express.
