Our Paper: And The candidates.
Most of the Texas papers are for Brown, a few for Jones and a few are for Hale. The latter is a standing candidate with one or two papers, the name of which forbear mention—
Paris News.
GENERAL
The Honorable W. J. Swain is favorably spoken of by many Texas papers as a candidate for governor. Mr. Swain's record as comptroller is without a blemish. He is a practical, far-sighted business man and that is what we need now at Austin. Since Reagan is out of the race, hurrah for Swain!—Cherokee Standard.
