We hear from St. Vincents, that on Monday night last the Caraibs burnt the works and dwelling house of Andrew Bruce, Esq; and on the Wednesday following burnt the dwelling house and offices of John Le Crow, Esq; they also took a detached party of the 22d regiment, consisting of a corporal and four men, whom they killed. A scouting party of Caraibs some time before this had nearly fell in with and taken General Leyborne prisoner.
On Thursday morning last, one of the transports arrived at St. Vincents with a party of the 31st regiment from St. Augustine in West-Florida, and the rest are hourly expected: so that a general attack on these desperadoes may be every day looked for.
The militia here are under the greatest hardships on account of the fatigue of their military duty.
