So said Gen. Taylor to Captain Bragg when the Mexicans were hard pressing our Army at the battle of Buena Vista.

So say we to the gallant Whigs of Vermont, who have never yet been defeated in their battles with locofocoism. Each year have they been victorious.

And NEXT TUESDAY pour in the grape (Whig ballots) into the rotten hulk of locofocoism. Give to the Texas and Slavery allies a full, plump and well aimed charge of grape. and victory is yours!
